Hate Mail Turned Fan Mail

By Mayor McCheese

I'm no stranger to hate mail.  But fan mail?  I thought that shit was only perpetuated by celebrities and their teenage admirers - or those Star Trek uber-nerds that write to Worf (not Michael Dorn mind you, but Worf) in actual Klingon.  Turns out that some chick named Helen gave me a taste of both, the latter of which is new to me. This discourse began on Yahoo Answers.  She had posted a question about something business related.  I don't remember exactly because it was a while ago and I actually thought I posted this already but forgot I had it saved as a draft.  Her question was something about running a business out of her home and essentially lying on legal documents to make sure she gets the appropriate loan.  If I remember correctly, she wanted to leave out some important facts regarding her husband and his debt.  I responded by telling her what she was asking was technically illegal and constituted fraud (which was actually true if I recall).  I was apparently incorrectly under the impression she was already conducting this business but it appears that she was just inquiring about it for future reference.  Whatever.  Same difference to me. I also told her that I looked up her... Read Full Musing;

Drinking Out Of Cups

By Mayor McCheese

So the alleged story behind this video is that "musician" Dan Deacon was high on acid or something else and was basically just trippin' balls and someone recorded his rambling.  BTW, the word musician is in quotes above because if you actually listen to any of Deacon's music you'll quickly realize that the word musician should in no way be connected with him.  Ever. Deacon has denied he was high and I have read two things - one where he supposedly claims that he recorded himself on purpose, sober, for a track on his album Meetle Mice.  Another I read had him claiming he was watching TV with the sound off and he recorded himself talking about what he was watching. Personally, I... Read Full Musing;

How To Further A Stereotype

By Mayor McCheese
Cha Sa-Soon

I believe it was President Kennedy who said, "Ask not what your stereotype can do for you - ask what you can do for your stereotype." At some time or another, all of us have wondered how we can further the stereotypes associated with the groups we are a part of.  More often than not, though, we find it difficult to really give it our all, likely out of a misplaced assumption that we are somehow degrading ourselves if we do. Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to present to you the woman who dared to be bold.  A woman who threw caution to the wind and who didn't give a damn about degrading herself just to further a stereotype.  That brave... Video Binge #1

By Mayor McCheese

I figured I would throw in a numbering on this one because I expect more of these in the future. After an exhausting few weeks at work I was in desperate need of a Youtube (and other media sites) binge.  Here are some great videos I ran across the other night. Extreme Anti-Smoking Ad   Luigi Finally Snaps   Donatello Gets Screwed   Mother Was A Very Adventurous Woman   Reporter Knocks Over World Record   News Anchor Laughs At Murder Live On The Air   Top 10 Racist TV Moments   Butterfingers   How To Destroy A Gas... Stupidity Knows No Bounds

Stupidity - A Graphical Representation

I used to think there was an actual limit to stupidity.  I now know better. "Young men who contract sexually transmitted diseases often view their afflictions as an affirmation of their manhood, a new Swedish study shows." Source: Here There are two major issues I have with this.  First and foremost, they're Europeans.  Second, is that this belief is completely rediculous.  These men aren't even viewing sex with a woman as an "affirmation of their manhood", but rather the contracted disease.  As if it's actual... Just wanted to post a classic joke from one of the greats. Here's an old clip of Buddy Hackett on Johnny Carson.  It also answers the question of where Ro Sham Bo came... Read Full Musing;
